Flounder are the masters of camouflage in the Destin and Fort Walton Beach inshore fishery. They lie flat on sandy bottom near passes, jetties, oyster bars, and grass edges, waiting to ambush passing baitfish with a lightning-fast strike. It’s one of the most underrated table fish in Florida — firm, white, and delicately flavored.
Our Destin flounder trips work the Choctawhatchee Bay, East Pass, and the sandy edges around Crab Island. We drift or slow-troll live finger mullet, mud minnows, or Gulp! soft-plastic baits tight to the bottom. The bite is subtle: a thump, a pause, then steady pressure — our guides coach you through the timing.
