Josh has been fishing in and around Destin since he was six years old, which started with bribing his older sister for rides to the pier. He has been a charter captain for the past sixteen years.

In twenty plus years of fishing he has covered everything from the back bay of the Destin and Fort Walton area out to the offshore oil rigs, and he has fished alongside some of the best captains in town. He won Captain of the Year at the Destin Fishing Rodeo from 2017 through 2019.

For all that range, his favourite fishing is inshore bay fishing for redfish, and specifically sight casting to them in shallow water.

He is a father and a husband, and it shows in how he runs a boat with children on it. On days off he is usually fishing with his wife and his two daughters, aged nine and four, who are turning into anglers themselves.

We requested Captain Josh and he did not disappoint. Awesome laid back personality and great with kids. We went on the 3 hour family trip. Our 8 yr old son and 5 yr old daughter thoroughly enjoyed themselves.Review from the Destin Inshore Guides site
