We run shark trips off the Destin beaches and passes, fishing heavy tackle on the drift and at anchor. The list of what shows up is long: bull sharks, spinners, blacktips, duskies, sandbars, hammerheads, nurse sharks, makos and the occasional tiger.
Most of these species are protected, so shark trips here are catch, photograph and release. If you want to keep the day on the wall rather than in the cooler, we work with Grays Taxidermy, the largest marine taxidermy company in the world, and they build replica mounts from your measurements and photos.

★★★★★
"We booked an inshore fishing trip in Destin and it exceeded every expectation. Captain Josh knew exactly where to go — we were catching redfish and trout within minutes. Best fishing charter in Destin, hands down
Took the kids out on a 2-hour trip and they had the time of their lives. Captain was patient, explained everything, and we even spotted dolphins. Perfect family experience.
Did a nearshore trip and the action was nonstop. Red snapper, triggerfish, and a huge king mackerel. The crew knows these waters inside and out. Will definitely be coming back.
This was our first time doing a Destin fishing charter and it couldn't have gone better. Captain Josh made everything easy and fun, especially for the kids. We caught multiple fish and learned a ton. Highly recommend.

Questions about shark fishing in Destin
What shows up, what happens to it, and what the day costs.
What sharks do you catch off Destin?
Bull sharks, spinners, blacktips, duskies, sandbars, hammerheads, nurse sharks, makos and the occasional tiger shark. Which ones are around depends on the time of year and the water temperature.
Can we keep a shark?
No. Most of the sharks off this coast are protected, so these are catch, photograph and release trips. If you want to keep the memory on a wall we work with Grays Taxidermy, who build replica mounts from your photos and measurements.
What does a shark trip cost?
$900 for four hours, $1,125 for five hours and $1,350 for six hours. That is per boat for up to four people, $50 for each additional passenger, and it includes the heavy tackle, bait, ice and the fishing licence for everyone aboard.
Is a shark trip suitable for kids?
Older children who can handle a heavy rod enjoy it, and there is plenty to watch even when nobody is hooked up. For younger anglers the two and three hour kids trips in the bay are the better day out.
